Belize
Belize is known as the capital of permit fishing throughout the globe. Garbutt’s is proud to be recognized as the capital of permit fishing within the country of Belize. Located in the small southern community of Punta Gorda we have quick access to some of the most productive permit fishing found anywhere in the world.
Wake each morning in your air-conditioned accommodations with the Caribbean Sea to the front and Joe Taylor Creek to the back. Grab the necessary equipment from your accommodations and walk fifty feet to load into the Garbutt’s boats with your guide for a day of permit fishing.

About Us
For over fifteen years, The Garbutt’s Brothers, ” Scully, Oliver and Eworth “ have been guiding the waters of Punta Gorda, east to Sapodilla Cayes, and north to Placencia.
Now after working for several lodges through the region, they now have a fishing lodge of their own, “Garbutt’s Fishing Lodge”.
